Call to Worship: Proper 11A

Here are a couple of calls to worship for July 17, 2011, the fifth Sunday after Pentecost.  They are based on Genesis 28:10-19, one of the suggested lectionary passages for that Sunday (Proper 11A).

(Genesis 28:16-17)

Surely the Lord is in this place!

This is none other than the house of God—

the gateway to heaven!

People of God, open your eyes!

Surely the Lord is in this place!

For this is none other than the house of God,

a meeting place for God and His people.

Let’s worship God together.
