Intergenerational Benediction: Proper 11A

Here’s an intergenerational benediction for July 17, 2011 (otherwise known as Proper 11A). It’s based on two of the lectionary readings for that day—Genesis 28 and Psalm 139.

Intergenerational Benediction

(based on Genesis 28:13-15, Psalm 139)

As we leave this place, we know

God will be with us wherever we go.

At work or play, at home or on vacation, we know

God will be with us wherever we go.

Whether we’re happy or sad,

on our own, or with our friends, we know

God will be with us wherever we go.

So let’s go with joy,

because God goes with us!
