Here’s a call to worship inspired by Romans 13:11-12. It was written by Jamie Barnes.
Call to Worship
(inspired by Romans 13:11-12)
As we continue this week celebrating the season of Advent,
we remember that it is a time for us to declare Jesus as the light of the
World. We live on a dark and desperate planet that needs to hear that a Savior
has come and will return to set things right. Let us declare that hope as we
respond in worship today:
You know what time it is,
how it is now the moment for you
to wake from sleep.
how it is now the moment for you
to wake from sleep.
For salvation is nearer to us now
than when we first believed.
the night is far gone, the day is near.
Let us then lay aside the works of darkness
and put on the armor of light.
Come, let us worship God.
than when we first believed.
the night is far gone, the day is near.
Let us then lay aside the works of darkness
and put on the armor of light.
Come, let us worship God.
