Here’s a prayer for the second Sunday of Advent. It was written by Rev. Chris Wigglesworth of Edinburg, Scotland.
Advent Prayer
God of faithfulness and truth,
You sent your servant John the Baptist
to preach in the desert
and summon the people to repentance.
Make us and all things new,
that in the wilderness of our world
and in our lives,
we also may prepare a way for Jesus.
