Call to Worship: Joel 2

Here’s a call to worship based on Joel 2:12-13, a text often used during worship on Ash Wednesday (February 22, 2012).

Call to Worship

(based on Joel 2:12-13)

“Even now,” declares the LORD,
“return to me with all your heart,
with fasting and weeping and mourning.
Rend your hearts, and not your garments.”
Return to the LORD your God,
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and filled with compassion and love.
