Reflection for Palm
Sunday
(inspired
by the events in Matthew
21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11;
Luke 19:29-44; John 12:12-19)
In the shouts and cries,
In the dancing and singing
of the children of peasants,
the waving of branches and flinging of coats
the tiny beast
carrying
the Peace of God,
breathed deeply,
plodding along,
willing,
loving,
focused
on her burden,
the courageous One
that would suffer, and be killed for believing in Love.
and Justice.
and Hope.
In the dancing and singing
of the children of peasants,
the waving of branches and flinging of coats
the tiny beast
carrying
the Peace of God,
breathed deeply,
plodding along,
willing,
loving,
focused
on her burden,
the courageous One
that would suffer, and be killed for believing in Love.
and Justice.
and Hope.
“Love” she
breathed,
“Breathe” she breathed,
“You are not alone” she breathed.
Amen.
“Breathe” she breathed,
“You are not alone” she breathed.
Amen.
