Here is a prayer of praise based closely on Psalm
145. It was written by Alan Burrow.
Prayer of Praise
(based on Psalm 145)
(based on Psalm 145)
We
extol you O God our King;
we will bless your name for ever and ever,
For you are great and greatly to be praised.
we will bless your name for ever and ever,
For you are great and greatly to be praised.
One generation shall praise your works to another,
and shall declare your mighty acts.
We will meditate on the glorious splendor of your Majesty,
and on your wondrous works.
We shall speak of your goodness, and sing of your righteousness.
For you are gracious and full of compassion,
slow to anger and great in mercy.
You are good to all, and your tender mercies are over all your works.
We shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk of your power.
We shall make your mighty acts known to the sons of men,
and your glorious majesty of your kingdom.
For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
You open your hand and satisfied desire of every living thing.
You preserve all those who love you,
but
all the wicked You will destroy.
We worship you now,
together
with the Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit,
who live and reign with you above,
who live and reign with you above,
world
without end.
Amen.
Amen.
