Words of Assurance: Romans 10
Here are words
of assurance to follow a time of confession.
They come from Romans 10: 9-11 (Phillips translation):
Words of Assurance
(based on Romans 10: 9-11)
Brothers and
sisters,
if you openly
admit by your own mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord,
and if you
believe in your own heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be
saved.
For it is
believing in the heart that makes one righteous before God,
and it is
stating that belief with your own mouth that confirms your salvation.
As the
Scripture says:
“whoever believes in Jesus Christ shall not be
disappointed.”
So be at
peace: your sins are forgiven.
