Here’s an invitation to a time of confession inspired
by Psalm 32:2-3, 5-7.
Invitation to Confession
(inspired by
Psalm 32:2-3, 5-7)
What joy for those whose wrongs have been forgiven,
who no longer lie to themselves or others,
and whose lives are lived in complete honesty!
When I refused to confess my sin, I was weak and
miserable,
moaning and complaining all day long.
When I finally saw my own lies, I owned up to my sins.
I said to myself, “I’ll admit all my wrong-doing to
God,”
and God forgave me!
God carried away all my guilt.
So let those who love God do the same.
Let’s come before God with honesty,
and openly admit where we have fallen short of what
God desires.
For God alone is our hiding place,
our protection in times of trouble.
