Father’s Day Prayer
Loving Father,
we pray for those for whom Father’s Day is a time of heartache rather than celebration.
We pray for those who have never known their father or whose fathers have died.
Heavenly Father, bless them with your love.
We pray for those whose fathers are far away, through work, or war, or in prison.
Heavenly Father, bless them with your love.
We pray for those whose fathers would sooner raise their hands in violence than in love.
Heavenly Father, bless them with your love.
We pray for those who are estranged from their fathers.
Heavenly Father, bless them with your love.
May they have the comfort of knowing that your love for them is unconditional,
your care for them is constant,
your presence with them is never-ending. Amen
