Words of Assurance: Proper 17A

Here are some words of assurance written by Nathan Nettleton, based on the texts for August 28, 2011 (the eleventh Sunday after Pentecost).

Words of Assurance
(based on Exodus 3: 1-15; Psalm 105: 1-6, 23-26; Rom. 12: 17-21)

The blazing fire of God’s presence refines us,
but in mercy it does not destroy us.
God does not repay evil for evil,
but comes to deliver us and restore us to life.

Sisters and brothers,
........your sins are forgiven;
................be at peace.
