Here’s a beautiful reflection on Mark 1:29-39, the gospel reading for February 5, 2012. It was written by Anne Osdieck.
Gospel Reflection
(Mark 1:29-39)
He approached her, grasped her hand, and helped her up.
Lord,
Simon Peter said,
"Everyone was looking for you,"
as you spread your message across Galilee.
Whole towns flocked to you
with their sick in tow.
We as well
clamor
to find
you,
now, in our day.
Please, Lord, heal us.
Take our hand.
Help us
up.
