People of God, hear the good news!
Our God is compassionate and merciful,
full of endless love.
He does not treat us as our sins deserve,
or punish us as harshly as he could.
For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so strong is his love toward us.
And as far as the east is from the west,
so far has he removed our sins from us.
So be at peace: you are forgiven!
