With Praise and High Thanksgiving
With praise and high thanksgiving we come before your face,
the Lord of all things living, upholding time and space.
We come with adoration for spirit, breath and birth,
O God of all creation, who formed our fertile earth.
For sunlit skies above us, for wealth of land and seas,
for human hearts to love us, we bring our thanks for these.
For blessings freely given, for life and length of days,
we lift our songs to heaven in thankfulness and praise.
But more than all, for Jesus, who loosed us from our chain;
who by his dying frees us from sin and death's domain.
For Chrit's unfading treasure, his Spirit on us poured,
we praise beyond all measure our high and holy Lord.
