Here’s a prayer of confession suitable for Thanksgiving or Harvest celebrations, or other worship gatherings.
Prayer of Confession
For the times that we behaved irresponsibly towards your gifts of creation:
Lord, in your mercy,
forgive us and help us.
For the times that we have ignored the spiritual and material needs
of those who are not so fortunate as ourselves:
Lord, in your mercy,
forgive us and help us.
For the times that we have failed to proclaim your gospel
through indifference, selfishness or bad example:
Lord, in your mercy,
forgive us and help us.
May Almighty God have mercy upon us,
forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life.
Amen
