Here are two Calls to Worship for the fourth Sunday of Easter—known in some settings as Good Shepherd Sunday. Both were written by Joan Stott (see reprint information below).
Easter 4 , Psalm 2 3
Caring Shepherd,
you supply all our needs.
We celebrate God’s generous care of us all.
Good Shepherd,
you take us by the hand
and lead us through the dark and fearful times in life.
We celebrate God’s compassion and understanding.
Gracious Shepherd,
your goodness and mercy nurtures and blesses us,
and it enriches our soul.
As we worship you,
we share together in the feast you prepare for us,
and it restores and refreshes us. Amen.

Lent 4 , Psalm 2 3
We gather together to worship and praise our ‘Good Shepherd’,
who cares so well for us.
The Lord is our Shepherd,
and we have all we are ever likely to need.
We gather together to worship and praise our ‘Good Shepherd’,
who safely leads us
and give us strength for the journey.
The Lord is our Shepherd,
who allows us to rest and who renew our energies.
We gather together to worship and praise our ‘Good Shepherd’,
who offers us a feast when we are under pressure.
The Lord is our Shepherd,
who’s unfailing love is always there waiting for us. Amen.
