Here is a litany setting of Psalm 105:1-6, 23-27, one of the suggested scripture texts for August 28, 2011 (Proper 17A). It could be used in conjunction with the Old Testament reading for that day, Exodus 3:1-15, where Moses meets God at the burning bush.
Litany
(Psalm 105:1-6, 23-27)
All: Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness!
Let the whole world know what he has done.
Sing praise to him!
Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.
Praise God’s holy name!
Let all who seek the Lord rejoice.
One: Search for the Lord and for his strength;
look for signs of His presence at all times.
Two: Remember the wonderful things he has done—
all his marvelous work, and the justice he has demonstrated,
all you children of Abraham, his servant,
and the children of Jacob, his chosen people.
One: When Israel arrived in Egypt,
Jacob was living as a foreigner in the land of Ham.
And God multiplied the people of Israel
until they became too mighty for their enemies.
Then the Egyptians turned against the Israelites,
treating them unfairly.
Two: But God sent His servant Moses,
along with Aaron, the man of his choice.
They worked God’s wonders among the people of Egypt,
His miracles in the land of Ham.
All: Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness!
Let the whole world know what he has done.
Sing praise to him!
Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds.
Praise God’s holy name!
Let all who seek the Lord rejoice.
