of assurance (to follow a prayer of confession) inspired by the suggested
scripture readings for the second Sunday of Lent, Year C. It was written by Nathan Nettleton.
Words of Assurance: Lent 2 C
Even if all others reject you,
God will not shut you out in anger or abandon you.
Trust in the Lord, and it will be credited as righteousness.
God will save you—body, mind and spirit,
and enfold you in the wings of mercy.
Sisters and Brothers,
your sins are forgiven;
be at peace.
